Back in Neutrals

WOW I feel like it's been such a long time since I've had a new post! Bring back at school is so crazy and no matter how much I love this I feel like I have so little time. Post-hiatus I'm sharing one of my favorite looks for that perfect fall day. Since I'm such a fan of white year-round I went for double today and loved it. Featuring my absolute favorite Madewell sweater this outfit is so perfect for class or a casual weekend.

More to come soon!

Borrowed from the Boys

Before I found these jeans on sale for $17 at Abercrombie & Fitch, I never thought boyfriend jeans would work for me. I loved how other people styled them, I just didn't think they would look flattering on me. When I found these (slightly larger than my normal size) for so cheap (reg $88), I thought it was a sign. And when I found this brandy tunic that I wore as a dress in my last post (love convertible items), I felt like I finally had the perfect combination. With boyfriend jeans, a boyfriend watch, and an oversized shirt, it was overall a slouchy boyish look, so I thought I should pair it with some feminine accents. With a cute sparkly headband, my favorite satchel, caged sandals and delicate jewelry, I felt like I found the perfect balance. I mentioned in my last post that I would feature this peice as a top, but this wasn't even the post I had initially planned! I felt so inspired and wanted to try this first. With that said, there will be yet another post with this styled as a tunic shirt and I'm sure you'll love it just as much!

Comfort in Shifts

Honestly this dress is THE most comfortable item I own. The swingy lightweight look is so easy to throw on and go. I honestly had a hard time pulling this look together because I'm used to doing so little with it. Paired with one of my favorite bralettes (AE is honestly the best; I own 5) it looks cute but still comfy. I added the most comfortable sandals, the famous and infamous Birkenstocks, plus an old jean jacket that's great with any summer look. Amazing casual wear to look good AND feel good.

Minimal

This white button-down is my new favorite wardrobe staple. I've been searching for the perfect oversized, lightweight, swingy summer/transitional top and I finally found it! Hollister has really grown on me lately. The brand has really evolved from seagull-logo everything to a more versatile and classy look for more ages, and I'm totally into it. When I found this gem last weekend I was so excited to wear it that I had to post it (even though my blog has been SO black and white lately). And what better to pair with my new favorite top than my favorite sandals and new Fossil watch that I'm obsessed with. This look really did so much with so little and it's going to take so everything I have to not reach for this from my closet every day.

Lightweight Loving

My summer love hasn't died! If the temperature is dropping but you can't let go of summer, a cardigan should be your go-to item. The second of my #NSale deals was this beautiful lightweight cardigan. It's perfectly slim and long and it'll suit me all year round whether with something dressy underneath, or with a casual (even beach-worthy) outfit like this one. Although I love fall fashion, I keep trying to ignore the fact that summer is drawing to a close and enjoy the warm weather while it lasts.

Kept Casual

I bought this shirt about a year ago as my grab-and-go fall semester item. I literally wake up 20 mins before class and throw this on with high-rise shorts or jeans and I'm ready to go, which is basically what happened today! There isn't much to this outfit, but most of the time at school that's how it is. Super simple, super casual, super quick. Sometimes that's the best way to go!
