Comfort in Shifts

Honestly this dress is THE most comfortable item I own. The swingy lightweight look is so easy to throw on and go. I honestly had a hard time pulling this look together because I'm used to doing so little with it. Paired with one of my favorite bralettes (AE is honestly the best; I own 5) it looks cute but still comfy. I added the most comfortable sandals, the famous and infamous Birkenstocks, plus an old jean jacket that's great with any summer look. Amazing casual wear to look good AND feel good.

Blue and Bluer

I went with a really basic outfit today that I ended up loving. Although I opted for minimal jewelry, my new favorite earrings and studded sandals made up for that. A super comfortable t-shirt and boyfriend denim jacket made for the perfect relaxed summer look. The navy on navy on navy on navy(ish) turned out much more flattering than I thought, so I'll definitely be styling looks like this again.

Patriot Part II

As promised, my second (and favorite) RWB look. I love the classic american feel of the jean jacket and bandanna (I had a Rosie the Riveter moment) with the red lips. Overall a cute but casual twist for an outdoor celebration. Ironic that tomorrow I'm heading to London and Paris (both with US colors), but I'm still glad I get to spend this great holiday in a place where its celebration is not so... tongue-in-cheek. Otherwise, I'm so excited for my trip!! I'll have a couple usual posts this week with a full European download when I return!

Happy 4th!

Shady

From a shady outdoor hangout right into the city of D.C. this outfit wore wonderfully. I love a swing dress for summer but kept it casual (and comfortable) with my Converse, a new take on the classic Chuck Taylor style. (Definitely my favorite shoes at the moment.) Even though it was a little warm, this lightweight scarf was too cute to pass up, and the jacket was great for an indoor dinner.

I'm gearing up for my upcoming trip to London by brainstorming some chic city styles. What's your favorite urban look?
