Back in Neutrals

WOW I feel like it's been such a long time since I've had a new post! Bring back at school is so crazy and no matter how much I love this I feel like I have so little time. Post-hiatus I'm sharing one of my favorite looks for that perfect fall day. Since I'm such a fan of white year-round I went for double today and loved it. Featuring my absolute favorite Madewell sweater this outfit is so perfect for class or a casual weekend.

More to come soon!

Featuring Fall

I know lately my posts have been few and far between but I'm working on it! Now that I'm officially back at school, instead of blogging and beaching and enjoying the summer I'm doing problem sets all day every day. In the midst of all of that, I missed the first day of fall (but never fear, fall posts are to come). I'm trying to enjoy the little bit of warm weather we have left with tanks and jeans so I can wear my summer clothes before it's too late, but also not freeze. (It's so hard). I'm super excited for fall outfits as I have lots to share with you guys. Can't wait!

Lace for Lawnparties

So for those of you who know about Princeton, you've probably heard that our bi-yearly Fall and Spring Lawnparties (literally parties on the lawns of our Eating Clubs) are our biggest campus events--and the first happens to be today! It's an amazing opportunity for everyone on campus to get dressed up, share drinks, listen to awesome music, and overall have a great time. This year our headliner is Nate Ruess from Fun and everyone is so excited! I bought this romper specifically for this occasion and am obsessed. I found out about the online boutique Morning Lavender from another blog and fell in love. They even send fresh lavender in the packages! The open lacy back paired with a cute waist belt and my collectors Kate Spade lemon bag, it's the perfect sendoff to Summer as we welcome Fall and the new academic year (much less exciting).

Currently Coveting: Fall Favorites

This is just my first of many fall fashion appreciation posts. I'm in love with booties, warm colors, and layers. These are a few items I rounded up (mostly from Nordstrom), that are getting me into the fall spirit. I'm so excited to stock up on cool weather pieces although I have yet to make the jump. Hope you enjoy these, and be sure to check out Nordstrom's Trend section for new arrivals and inspiration!

White After Labor Day

Although the season of summer has not officially ended, Labor Day is usually the universal sign that it's over in spirit. And even though I'll surely break some rules by continuing to wear white, I wanted to give it a proper farewell this weekend with the perfect summer suit. Fall means no more sandals, patterned shorts, pops of bright color, or of course bright white tops. These are soon to be replaced with some more of my favorite things like boots, sweaters and scarves, so I can't say I'm complaining.

Groutfit

I really don't know if "groutfit" is a universal term, but s/o to my friends back home who've made it a thing, especially because I almost called this post 50 Shades... Usually a term for THE most casual outfit you could imaging (grey sweatpants and a grey sweatshirt), I tried to make it just a little nicer. I even had a grey day to match. It's a great alternative to both the all white and all black outfits that I've been constantly sporting lately. Not to mention grey is a great color for fall, so naturally I'm loving it.
Also is it grey or gray can someone tell me??

Borrowed from the Boys

Before I found these jeans on sale for $17 at Abercrombie & Fitch, I never thought boyfriend jeans would work for me. I loved how other people styled them, I just didn't think they would look flattering on me. When I found these (slightly larger than my normal size) for so cheap (reg $88), I thought it was a sign. And when I found this brandy tunic that I wore as a dress in my last post (love convertible items), I felt like I finally had the perfect combination. With boyfriend jeans, a boyfriend watch, and an oversized shirt, it was overall a slouchy boyish look, so I thought I should pair it with some feminine accents. With a cute sparkly headband, my favorite satchel, caged sandals and delicate jewelry, I felt like I found the perfect balance. I mentioned in my last post that I would feature this peice as a top, but this wasn't even the post I had initially planned! I felt so inspired and wanted to try this first. With that said, there will be yet another post with this styled as a tunic shirt and I'm sure you'll love it just as much!
