Today I ended up with a mini skirt, a mini satchel, and mini boots (booties if you will) to match. Paired with my favorite Madewell denim I was good to go. My illusion rain boots are perfect for a day like today where there's a threat of rain but you have no idea if or when it's actually going to come. With the crazy storms and flash floods here in Maryland, they're going to be seeing a lot of action this summer (a lot more than I would like--thank goodness they're so cute).

I absolutely love this trench coat! After having no rain for almost a month, it's been cloudy and rainy in Maryland for weeks and shows no sign of letting up. This trench took my very casual tunic and jeans look and gave it some classy flare. (It also really brightened up a dreary day.) And as great as my Hunter boots are, when the spring weather is as unpredictable as it is here, you need something a little more versatile. If it rains for an hour, you don't want to be stuck in tall green rubber boots all day. You might not even be able to tell, but these black booties are fully waterproof rubber and still super cute. They're my newest investment and such life-savers especially at the price.
